Controls

Two modes
RoadVR always runs in one of two modes, and knowing which one you are in explains almost every question about the controls.Passthrough
Windows float around you. You walk, drive and play normally — the windows
are pure graphics and take no input.
Focus
The mouse is free and you can click. Movement is locked while you are in
it.
E, and you leave it
with ESC. Nothing is torn down on the way out — the windows stay exactly
where they were.
The keys
Every key above is a FiveM keybind, which means each player can rebind it
under Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM. What you set in
config.lua is the
default, not a lock. The unbound key
roadvr_toggle appears in the FiveM key bindings and is deliberately shipped
without a default key.
That is not an oversight. A default would take a key away from every server
that installs RoadVR, and most servers hand the headset out as an item anyway.
If you run without an item (Config.Item = ''), tell your players to bind it
once themselves — or use the command:
Moving windows
A window hangs on a sphere around the player rather than in free 3D space, so dragging the title bar moves it along that shell and it always faces you. Two anchor modes decide what happens when you walk away:Body
The window follows you. Good for anything you want to keep reading while
you move.
World
The window stays where you put it. Good for leaving a screen on a desk.
Widgets
PressG for edit mode, and the widget bar opens. Pick a tile, carry it to a
wall and let go — it sticks. The mouse wheel resizes the one you are carrying.
Widgets live in the player’s profile, so they survive taking the headset off,
relogging and a resource restart.
