Track Kit

Road Minigolf streams its own modular track kit: felt lanes with rounded walls and real cup holes, obstacles and two moving pieces. Every piece takes one of 16 colour themes. In the editor you find it in tab Props → category Track kit.

Pieces

Moving pieces

  • Windmill: the sails turn in time with the network clock, so every player sees them in the same place. A sail pushes a ball out of its way.
  • Loop: the ball enters in one channel and comes out in the channel beside it. Too slow and it rolls back or drops off. Players cannot walk through the loop.

Colour themes

Fairway, Ocean, Cherry, Grape, Tangerine, Lagoon, Bubblegum, Sunshine, Stone, Midnight, Sand, Mint, Coral, Royal, Forest and Arctic. B cycles the theme of the piece you are placing or the selected piece (Shift + B backwards). In quick build, B recolours the whole hole.

Building with the kit

  • Pieces lock onto open lane ends by themselves. The wheel picks the connector (turn left or right, flip a piece); X turns locking off and on.
  • Placing a Tee or a Cup piece sets the hole’s tee or cup.
  • Kit pieces stay level: only the heading turns.
  • The course check lists open lane ends where the ball could roll off.

Quick build, draw path and blueprint build whole holes from kit pieces

Prebuilt holes

Six complete holes are ready to place: tab Holes → Prebuilt holes → Place, then put it down with the crosshair. Tee, cup and par are set. The prebuilt holes also open in the blueprint as a starting point for your own.

Suggested par and play area

Quick build, drawn paths, blueprints and prebuilt holes without their own values get a suggested par and play area. Both stay editable in the Holes tab. Par: 2, plus one stroke for every full 6 m of lane beyond the first 4 m, plus one for every two of loop, windmill, tunnel and uphill ramp, at most 6. Play area: the farthest piece from the hole centre plus 4 m, at least 8 m.
The values live in shared/defaults.lua and can be added to Config.Editor in config.lua:

Add these lines after the Config.Editor = { … } table, or put the keys inside it.

Other props

Besides the kit, the editor has a catalog of base-game and stunt DLC props in four categories: Lanes & ramps, Borders & walls, Obstacles and Decoration. With Config.Editor.allowCustomModels = true admins can also type any model name.
  • Models a game build does not have are hidden automatically.
  • Config.Editor.blockedModels blocks model names you do not want on courses.
  • Config.PropCatalog in config.lua is the catalog itself: add, remove or rename entries and categories.

The ball rolls on every prop with the same raycast physics: slopes, ramps, walls and drops all work. X snaps a prop flush against its nearest neighbour, which makes lanes from stunt tracks or barriers piece by piece much easier.
