# FAQ

## Start here

Look at your **server console** right after start. Every RoadPark resource with
payments or items prints one line with what it found:

```bash theme={null}
[Bridge] ESX + ox_inventory
```

If a resource prints `No framework found, running standalone`, your framework
started after RoadPark or is not running — start it before the RoadPark
resources.

## Installation

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Where do I enter my transaction ID?">
    Nowhere. RoadPark has no license key step. Download it from the
    [cfx.re Portal](/license-system) and start it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I have to import an SQL file?">
    No. RoadPark uses no database. Placements, leaderboards and prepaid claw
    games live in JSON files inside the resource folders and in server KVP.
    Only ESX users with the default inventory insert the item rows — see
    [Inventory items](/roadpark/installation#inventory-items).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which frameworks are supported?">
    ESX, QBCore, Qbox and standalone. The framework and the inventory are
    detected automatically.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I need ox_lib, oxmysql or ox_target?">
    No. ox\_target is used by the games row when it is running; otherwise
    players press **E**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The ground has holes, objects float or I still see the old construction site">
    Reconnect. Streamed map files are cached by the client, and copying new
    files does not reload them.

    If it stays broken, another map on your server replaces the same files of
    the Mirror Park construction site. Only one of them can run — see
    [Map compatibility](/roadpark/installation#map-compatibility).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A ride or a stand is missing in the park">
    * Is the resource started? A slot stays empty until its resource runs.
    * Is the slot set to `false` in `roadpark/config.lua`?
    * Check the server console for `[RoadPark] <slot>: refused: <reason>` or
      `data/placements.json missing or invalid`. In the second case, restore the
      bundled `roadpark/data/placements.json`.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Tickets

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="All rides are free">
    That happens when `roadpark_tickets` is not running, when no framework is
    found (standalone) or when a ride is set to `tickets = 0` in
    `roadpark_tickets/config.lua`.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A player lost chips">
    Chips are used as soon as the ride starts. They come back only when the
    player gets off **before** the start. A player who disconnects while
    waiting gets no refund.

    If `roadpark_tickets` was stopped while players were already seated, those
    refunds could not be paid — the server console lists them.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Lucky Ducks shows up as “ducks” on the price board">
    Add it to `Config.Rides` in `roadpark_tickets/config.lua`:

    ```lua config.lua theme={null}
    ducks = { label = 'Lucky Ducks', tickets = 1 },
    ```
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The booth says it is closed">
    The booth only sells chips when a framework is running. Check the
    `[Bridge]` line in the console.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Games and prizes

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="A player won but got no item">
    * The item must exist in your inventory — see
      [Inventory items](/roadpark/installation#inventory-items).
    * **Lucky Ducks** keeps the prize at the booth for ten minutes when the
      inventory is full. Press **E** at the booth to collect it.
    * **Claw Arcade** keeps the prize in the chute. After two minutes it is
      added automatically; if the inventory is still full, it is lost.
    * Without a framework no item prizes are handed out.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The Shooting Gallery complains about the item “teddy”">
    The Shooting Gallery gives a plush duck with the item name `teddy` from
    1,600 points. Add the item to your inventory, or switch the item prize off
    with `R.Prize.item = ''` in `roadpark_games/config/range.lua`.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A jackpot was reached but no money was paid">
    Each booth pays money prizes out of the admission it has taken since the
    last restart. Right after a restart a booth may not have enough yet.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The claw machines make no sound">
    Their sounds need game build 2060 or newer. Set a newer
    `sv_enforceGameBuild` on your server.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Rides

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why are some ride prompts German?">
    The Highlander, the Grand Prix and the Ferris Wheel currently show German
    prompts and have no language option yet. All other RoadPark resources are
    English by default and can be switched to German.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do the rides need staff?">
    No. Every ride runs by itself: players board, a countdown runs and the ride
    starts. On the Breakdance players can also take over the console.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Random players drive the Breakdance console">
    Set `Config.OperatorAce` in `roadpark_breakdance/config.lua` to a permission
    name, for example `'roadpark.operator'`, and give it to your staff with
    `add_ace`.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I have a second Ferris Wheel or Highlander?">
    No — the Highlander, the Grand Prix, the Ferris Wheel, the swing ship and
    the Himmelsflieger exist once per server. The Breakdance can be placed up
    to four more times (`MaxEditorRides`).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I removed the park, but the Ferris Wheel and the bumper cars are still there">
    Both remember their park position. Stop `roadpark_riesenrad` and
    `roadpark_autoscooter` as well, or move them with their editors — see
    [Placing attractions outside the park](/roadpark/configuration#placing-attractions-outside-the-park).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Players get knocked over next to the swing ship">
    That is `ShipImpact`: whoever stands in the swing path gets hit. Set
    `Config.ShipImpact = false` in `roadpark_swingboat/config.lua` to turn it
    off.
  </Accordion>
