# SkyGarden Demo Map

> The roof garden map and nine-hole course that come with Road Minigolf

# SkyGarden Demo Map

Road Minigolf comes with **SkyGarden**: a streamed roof garden on the Rockford
Plaza mall in Burton, with a finished nine-hole course built from the
[track kit](/roadminigolf/track-kit). Players can play it the moment the server
is up.

## The map

A limestone terrace with glass balustrade, a greenhouse, a pergola lounge with
bar, a fountain and planting. Players reach the roof by the mall's roof stairs
or your own teleport tools; the resource adds no elevator.

Each hole has its own colour theme. The course uses the **lane only**
out-of-bounds rule and is free to play (no entry fee, no rewards).

## How the demo course is installed

* On the first start, SkyGarden is installed as an **ordinary published
  course**. Edit it, move it or delete it like any other course.
* A later version of the demo replaces it **only while nobody has changed it**.
  Once you edit it, it is yours.
* A deleted demo stays deleted. Restore it from the trash in the editor's
  [Admin tab](/roadminigolf/editor#admin-console).

## Conflicts with other maps

The map lives in `stream/skygarden/`. It replaces the roof equipment of the mall
models (`bt1_04_mall01`, `bt1_04_mall01_dt01`, `bt1_04_roof_dtl01`, collision
`bt1_04_0`) and streams edited copies of `bt1_04_strm_0` and the `ss1_rd1` maps
(base, `hei_` and `apa_` variants) without the props that stood on that roof.

<Warning>
  Another resource that replaces one of these files conflicts with SkyGarden.
  If you already run a map on the Rockford Plaza roof, leave the demo out.

## Leaving the demo out

    Delete the folder `stream/skygarden/`.

  <Step title="Remove the map lines from the manifest">
    Remove these two lines from `fxmanifest.lua`:

    data_file 'DLC_ITYP_REQUEST' 'stream/skygarden/road_skygarden.ytyp'
    ```

    <Warning>
      Keep the line with `stream/road_minigolf_kit.ytyp`. That one registers
      the track kit.

    Restart the whole resource (`restart road_minigolf`), not just `refresh`.

<Note>
  `demoCourses = false` stops the course from being installed. A SkyGarden
  course that is already installed stays until you delete it in the editor.
