# Invoices and standing orders

## Invoices

Players send invoices from the **Invoices** tab with **New invoice**:

1. Pick a player standing nearby (within `Config.Invoices.Distance`, default
   5 metres).
2. Enter the amount (up to `Config.Invoices.MaxAmount`) and a reason.
3. Choose the account the money should go to: the checking account, or a
business account of the player's job. A business invoice shows the
   business name as the sender.

The recipient gets a notification and finds the invoice under **To pay**.
They **Pay** it from any account they may transfer from, or **Decline** it.
The sender sees the status under **Sent**, can cancel an open invoice and is
notified when it is paid.

By default, the pickers show server ids. `Config.Privacy.ShowNearbyNames =
true` shows player names instead.

Other scripts (fines, shops, mechanics) can send invoices with the
[`CreateInvoice`](https://docs.roadshop.org/roadbanking/api/exports#createinvoice) export.

## Standing orders

Standing orders transfer a fixed amount to any account number on a schedule,
for rent, pocket money or a savings plan.

* They can be set up from checking, savings and shared accounts (shared:
  owners and managers).
* The interval is one of `Config.StandingOrders.Intervals` (default every 24,
  72 or 168 hours).
* A player can have up to `Config.StandingOrders.Max` standing orders
(default 5). The amount is limited by `Config.Transfers.MaxAmount`.
* Orders can be paused and resumed or deleted at any time.

When a run fails, for example because the account is empty, the player is
notified. After three failed runs in a row the order is paused. Orders from
the checking account wait while its owner is offline.
